Maki Kosaka

I loved the hand rolls here. It’s up there with kazunori and Nami Nori. I’d even rank this higher if it was cheaper. Will be coming back if I crave sushi that is fresh and unique in flavors. I do agree with other reviews that portions are on the smaller side and the hostess did have attitude but my waiter was really attentive. The chef also didn’t engage much which is fine for me but may be a down side for some.

This place is SO amazing. If you are looking for high quality Japanese food, this is the place for you. The grab hand rolls are something special. The appetizers are also great, especially the uni cup. (Although pricey). The service was also great. They handled my allergies very well! Overall if you are looking for a great place to go out and enjoy some premium Japanese food, this place is the spot.

Really friendly staff, the food is amazing.i had their happy hour crab croquettes and sake. The sake was balanced and the croquettes were crispy but I didn't see alot of crab in them. I also had one of their most popular sushi peices and it was great! Overall would reccomend!

Please just book that reservation! This restaurants was absolutely phenomenal. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was very nice and personable. The food was the best part. Everything we had was so good from the chips with cavier to the rolls. We tried the grab hand roll set and I loved it. Their mochi is also pretty good! All in all 10/10 experience. I will be back.

One of my absolute favorite hand roll spots in the city right now! Maki Kosaka never disappoints, it hits the spot every single time. I’ve already visited multiple times with my fiancé and friends, and it’s been amazing on every occasion. From the incredibly fresh seafood to the warm, attentive staff, everything here is truly 100/10. The quality, presentation, and authenticity make it stand out among the best sushi experiences in NYC.
